O Come All Ye Goofballs (Oh Come All Ye Faithful)

O Come All Ye Goofballs (Oh Come All Ye Faithful)

The tune has been attributed to several musicians, including John Francis Wade, John Reading and his son, to Handel, and even the German composer Gluck. The Portuguese composer Marcos Portugal or King John IV of Portugal have also been credited. Thomas Arne, whom Wade knew, is another possible composer. - Wikipedia

All those folks were from the 16 and 1700s.

This might’ve been the second or third one to get written. I had O Come All Ye Faithful in my head and I just sang the phrase “o come all ye goofballs” at my friends out of nowhere. I thought, “hey, this needs to get done all the way through.”

O come, all ye goofballs
Joyful and so foolish
Oh come ye, oh come ye to myyyyyy house
Come and eat snaaaacks
So many to eat
Oh come and eat some snacks
Oh come and eat some snacks
Oh come and eat some snacks, like
Cookies and pie

Sing winter's praises
Sing out love for snow days
Sing, all you snow sport fans, of which I am not
Glory to flurries
White precipitation
Oh sing the song of snow days
Oh sing the song of snow days
Oh sing the song of snow days
Well into March

Yay for mulled cider
So warm and so cozy
Maybe a coffee or a warm cuppa tea
Sip drinks of warmth
Love in your esophagus
Oh sing the praise of warm drinks
Oh sing the praise of warm drinks
oh sing the praise of warm drinks like
Hot chocolate.
