Joy to the World
Joy to the World
"Joy to the World" is an English Christmas carol. Today, the carol is usually sung to an 1848 arrangement by the American composer Lowell Mason. - Wikipedia
I had 2 ideas: one is the usual winter theme and the other is something totally unrelated, instead telling of eldritch abominations. The lyric “he rules the world” seemed so naturally flowed to “with tentacles” and then other spooky stuff followed. I could not decide which one I liked best so here are both versions.
Joy to the world The winter's here Let earth receive the snow Let every heart, Prepare to sled So speedy down the hill So speedy down the hill So speedy, speedy down the hill
Joy to the earth In season's dark Let all rejoice in song While fields and floods
No more let jack frost Bite your nose Back to the house we go To get some snacks And Hot chocolate And other tasty treats And other tasty treats And tons of other tasty treats
Love rules the house and keeps us warm Let's keep good company And share the space Through darkened times To keep our spirits bright To keep our spirits bright To keep, to keep our spirits bright | Joy to the world The doom has come Let all retreat in fear Let every heart Prepare for death As kaiju roam the earth As kaiju roam the earth As kaiju kaiju roam the earth
With bleary eyes Behold the sights Abominations reign Beelzebub, Leviathan And demons' roaring hordes And demons' roaring hordes And demons' demons' roaring hordes
No more let mortals rule the land No freedom for our kind We squandered it And trashed the earth Destroying everything Destroying everything Destroying, destroying everything
He rules the world with tentacles Who makes the nations bow The terrors of His wickedness And bellowing growls, low And bellowing growls, low And bellowing, bellowing growls low |
